My name is Stormy, and I am a Marketing Lead for the Mines of Dalarnia project. My job is to lead the marketing activities and help projects accomplish their marketing objectives. Mines of Dalarnia is developed by Workinman studio. Workinman studio was founded in 2006, over the years, WM has created hundreds of apps and games spanning the mobile, web and entertainment industries and it has world-class partners, including Disney, Unity, Sesame Street etc. We started to explore blockchain games from 2019.
Now more closely about our game! MoD is an action adventure game with procedurally generated levels. Players mine and combine various in-game items, improving their skills and gear in order to unlock the secrets of the MoD universe while searching for rare relics and artifacts. There are different terrains to be explored as well as monsters to conquer in the quest to those rare resources and friends can play together in the Dalarnian world.

The current version has over 10000 players and we are planning a series of events to reward early testnet participants. We are also launching a series of NFT sales to get everyone equipped for the game. In the meantime, in Q3 and Q4 this year, we are adding more gameplay to the current version, enlarge the land plot owner group as well as launch the game on mainnet.
In 2022, our key focus would be around the social and metaverse element of the game. We are building a space station for miners while they are not actively mining so that players can enjoy the social and building element in the game as well.

Indeed, thanks… As I mentioned, in Q3&4 we aim to enlarge the land plot owner group. Players have the option of either buying or renting plots of land using DAR, our native token.Players that buy a plot of land claim “ownership” of it, and can mine that plot without paying DAR. They also have the option of putting their plot up for rent to other players in return for some DAR.

For miners looking to mine, buying plots of land will cost significantly more DAR than renting (an opportunity to mine on it), but the balance is in that they can always rent a plot in hopes of some financial return.Players that choose to rent a plot gain one time access to that plot (one run) for a small fee (one time run through the procedurally generated level of said plot).
This fee is paid to the owner of that plot. We will launch the first round of Land sale next month. The land owner can earn real estate income when the mainnet launches. Please follow our channel to know more information.

Currently, Mines of Dalarnia is on Chromia testnet because the single sign-on wallet is friendly to users that are unfamiliar to crypto. The main tokens will be issued on Ethereum and we are considering issuing NFTs on other blockchains considering the high-gas fee may be not feasible for some of the commodity items in the game.

Good questions! There are 4 key-utilities of the DAR. DAR is the native token in the game and it serves key functions in managing the economics in the game, incentivizing players as well as keeping the economy in the Dalarnia world growing sustainably. The utilities including:
In-game currency
DAR is the default in-game currency that will be used each time users upgrade their tools or trade on the in-game marketplace. It is also the currency used in the marketplace, transaction fees are charged in DAR as well.
Decentralized governance
MoD is a game that is owned by the players and token holders. By implementing the decentralized governance structure, mechanisms and policies in the game are up for the token holders to collectively decide.

Players have a chance to win token rewards in the game through multiple ways. Players will be grouped based on their levels and the more advanced a player is, the higher the rewards are for these competitions.
