As we prepare to transition from our Alpha version to a fully functioning play-to-earn blockchain-based game, we are pleased to bring to you a dedicated Medium account that will keep our players informed of developments in the MoD world!

This introductory article will endeavor to tell you what MoD is and how you can start enjoying it today. Let’s get down to business.

About Mines of Dalarnia (MoD)

Mines of Dalarnia is an action adventure game with procedurally generated levels. Players mine and combine various in-game items, improving their skills and gear in order to unlock the secrets of the MoD universe while searching for rare relics and artifacts.

Is Mines of Dalarnia free to play?

Users who sign in using Chromia Vault can play stages from the first planetary zone called Terra Mine and upgrade their character’s gear to level 3 for free. To access the other three zones, upgrade their gear further and find the rarest and most valuable loot, players must pay to unlock the full version. The full version will become available in the future, it is not currently possible to buy the game and unlock all of the features. Keep an eye on our Twitter and Telegram announcement channels to be notified when we release the complete guide on all 4 zones in the Mines of Dalarnia.

Can I try the game without setting up a Wallet?

Yes! Anyone can go to https://testnet.minesofdalarnia.com in Chrome or Safari and start playing right now! However, without a Chromia Vault wallet, several of the most interesting in-game features will be unavailable.

What is the Chromia Vault?

Chromia Vault is a web based wallet for the Chromia blockchain, currently operating on the testnet. Later in 2021, the Chromia mainnet will go live and users will be able to access the full version of Chromia Vault. To set up a wallet, visit https://vault-testnet.chromia.com/ and follow these steps:

Click ‘sign up’ in the top right corner
Choose a username and password
Write down your seed phrase (you will need this later if you want to access your account from a different computer)
Confirm your seed phrase by clicking the words in the correct order
