Revised 1.3 Schedule and Introducing Fixed Gear Competitions

Due to the changes on Mainnet that disconnected it from the NFT back-end, we are making some adjustments to how Competitions will initially work until we are able to get crafting back online.

Competitions will be run with a fixed gear loadout hand-designated for each competition. This means that players who join a competition will be automatically equipped with a loadout of gear at the start of a competition dig attempt. The gear is not “real” and will be removed once the competition attempt ends.

This will keep all players on an equal level playing field for competitions until the game becomes more fully featured again. In the future we will still launch competitions that use “real” gear, however we felt it was unfair to players to launch a competitive game mode with DAR rewards during a time when they are unable to craft or trade equipment to optimize their loadout.

Miners will still be able to craft and equip a Booster to bring into a competition.

To add and test this feature, we will have to postpone 1.3 mainnet release until the 11th of May (previously scheduled to go live on 27th of April). See the revised schedule below.

A Note About Mining Ape Quests

Since Digging is offline temporarily, Mining Ape Quests will require Competition Entries instead. Players with Apes will be asked to join a number of competitions each month to complete the contract.

• Add Fixed Gear Competitions to Testnet.
• Disconnect Testnet from NFTs so it mirrors Mainnet.

• Bug Fixes and updates to Fixed Gear Competitions.
• Update Mining Ape Quests to work with Competitions.

Mainnet : May 11

• Launch 1.3 with Fixed Gear Competitions.
