As many of you know, our Game Director Keith McCollough participated in the NFT NYC conference in June — one the largest NFT related events in the world! As a New York State native and resident, Keith was thrilled to represent our project and brand close to home. Keith had the pleasure of spending some time with old friends, as he met up with representatives from ChromaWay, Chromia and My Neighbor Alice including Anastasia Plane (Chromia), Todd Miller (ChromaWay), and Lenny Pettersson (My Neighbor Alice).
It wasn’t long before Keith, Ana and Lenny were in action, during a panel talk titled Game Design for Play to Earn Games alongside Quinn Campbell from Axie publisher Sky Mavis and Austin Stanfield from Anarchy Studio. The lively discussion centered on the challenges of balancing playability with viability within game economies.
In a separate talk elsewhere in the event delivered by Todd Miller, we were mentioned as one of the growing games with the blockchain world. Key usage statistics were shared, along with future innovations which may be possible between Mines of Dalarnia, Binance Chance and Chromia. Thanks for the shoutout Todd!
And of course, no conference appearance is complete without manning the booth and meeting and greeting with others in the industry as well as blockchain enthusiasts! Our branding was featured across several banners, with a demo of the game available for people to check out and play.
We also had a fruitful week on the interviews and podcasts. And one of the podcasts has already been released! You can listen to it on Spotify.
The NFT NYC conference was great exposure for the project, as well as an awesome opportunity to connect with key players from across the blockchain gaming space. Some key steps have been made towards future collaborations and we have no doubt that the Dalarnian world will continue to survive and thrive throughout 2022 and beyond!
