Mines of Dalarnia Update 1.2 : Satellites & Salvage Available on Mainnet — Watch The Trailer Now

Hi Miners!

After a successful Testnet release, Update 1.2 : Satellites & Salvage is now live on Mainnet. We hope you’ll enjoy this big next update to Mines of Dalarnia!

In Satellites & Salvage, all players, including those without wallets, can explore the Dalarnian Planets with Off-chain Surface Salvage missions, power up their Miner for challenging digs by crafting Boosters with collected Scrap and Bones, and meet the rest of the community in the Multiplayer Shared Satellite hub.

The update comes with several other features and bug fixes. Salvage Missions

Drop straight away onto the Dalarnian surface and start mining Scrap from abandoned ships and gather Bones from defeated enemies with these new Off-Chain Account missions.

The new Salvage missions will expand the gameplay of Mines of Dalarnia for all players while giving new players the opportunity to access and experience the game without the need to connect a wallet upfront.

Running a Salvage Mission costs no gas or dig fee and rewards non-tradable Off-Chain resources.

Scrap, Bones, and Boosters

With the collected Scrap and Bones from Off-chain Surface Salvage missions you can craft a new non-tradable consumable item: a Booster. Boosters give, for a limited time, powerful benefits to the Miner in paid Digs.

Examples Boosters:

Large max HP increase
Chance to spawn Healer Bots on enemy kills
Enemies Explode on death

Using Boosters is a new way for beginning players to make the standard digs easier to complete, and will give experienced players more flexibility when gearing for challenging depths. Look out for more Booster content in the future!

Revised Login Flow

With a new login flow that doesn’t require a wallet to enter the game, Mines of Dalarnia has become much more accessible with Update 1.2 : Satellites & Salvage.

New players will now have the option to create a traditional game account, instead of connecting their wallet, and access all parts of Mines of Dalarnia that don’t require blockchain interactions, including the new Salvage content.

This will lower the threshold for new players to start playing Mines of Dalarnia, and if they want to go for paid digs, migrating an Off-Chain account to an On-Chain account is as easy as connecting a wallet at any time.

Multiplayer Shared Satellite

Miners unite! You can now join your fellow miners in Mines of Dalarnia’s new Multiplayer Shared Space.

The Shared Satellite will act as the main Hub of Mines of Dalarnia, where players are able to access all the different content that Mines of Dalarnia has to offer.

See other miners, use emotes, test your damage output on training dummies, and even play football in the basement. Thank you to the community for participating in the testnet and giving great support!
