1. Install a Wallet on a Mobile Device

Set up a wallet that supports WalletConnect and BSC testnet.

We recommend the MetaMask Mobile App or the MathWallet Mobile App. Note that the Metamask Desktop App does not support WalletConnect.

Download app
Add a custom network
In Metamask, go to Settings -> Networks -> Add new custom network.
Use the following network settings:

Network Name: BSC Testnet

New RPC URL: https://data-seed-prebsc-1-s1.binance.org:8545

ChainID: 97

Symbol: BNB

Block Explorer URL: https://explorer.binance.org/smart-testnet

Then press “Save”

2. Get 1 Free testBNB

Go to this website and enter your wallet address to receive 1 BNB token. This is needed to pay for any transactions: https://testnet.binance.org/faucet-smart

You can only get one token per day, but one will be plenty for basic testing, as most transactions cost a fraction of a fraction of a token.
To see test DAR in your wallet, add the contract as a token:
Click Import Tokens
Paste the contract address (0x47D23913979103332fF62a4dba5B47c6a0D270EE)

3. Install Mines of Dalarnia Latest Testnet Build

At this stage of testing, the installer link will be sent to you. Please note that only selected participants will be able to log in to the game.

After downloading, install and run the game application.

Scan the QR code with your wallet: address to connect your wallet and Log In to the game.

On first log in to the game, you will be asked to grant permission for a lot of transactions (at least 4).
These are approval transactions for the various smart contracts to move your resources and items around.
At your first log in to the game you will receive 100 testDAR.

4. testDAR Faucet

To get additional testDAR tokens, go to this website: https://testnet.bscscan.com/address/0x47d23913979103332ff62a4dba5b47c6a0d270ee#writeContract
Click “Connect to Web3” and scan the QR code with your wallet app to connect your account.

Approve the connection in the app.
Click the “Write” button under the “faucet” heading (number 3 in the contract list).

You will get a transaction to receive 100 DAR.

5. Play and Enjoy!

Troubleshooting

If you start a transaction (either from the game or from bscscan.com) and don’t see a popup in the app asking for permission to continue, we recommend quitting and restarting the wallet app. No need to retry the transaction.

If you encounter a security notification when starting the installer, please click on more info and run anyway, to install the game.

Windows Defender may attempt to block access to the Windows setting file hidserv.PNF. This is the game accessing windows input configuration data. It’s not a critical process for MoD, but if you select Exclude Process to allow MoD access :
