Introducing Mines of Dalarnia Update 1.3 : Operation Astrolab
Dear Dalarnians,
We hope you’re doing well as we are thrilled to share with you some exciting updates and improvements for Mines of Dalarnia.
We’ve been working hard to bring you more awesome content and today, we would like to share a summary of what’s about to come!
I. Movement and Miner Energy Redesign 🔋
As you may have seen on our most recent sneak peek: we’re in the midst of a major redesign of Mines of Dalarnia’s movement and miner energy feature. We understand that clicking through the map navigator can be a tedious and time-consuming task, and energy limits can often hinder miners’ movements and digging adventures.
Starting with Update 1.3 : Operation Astrolab you’ll have the power to choose any land you want to mine on and move there instantly, which means no more wasted time crossing planets. Plus, we’re removing the miner energy limits so you can mine to your heart’s content until your equipment charge is fully consumed.
II. Competitions and Leaderboards are coming! 🏆
Update 1.3 : Operation Astrolab comes with a new competition-focused game mode called Astrolab where you will have the chance to test your skills and rise to the challenge (and leaderboards) to see how far you can go.
We are excited to see you show off your mining skills and compete against other players while earning $DAR rewards!
III. Perks Rebalancing 🟰
We’re taking the perks on equipment to a new level by rebalancing them. Many perks are being improved, but we want to assure you that no perks will be nerfed, only empowered, redesigned, or retained.
Additionally, to support build-crafting, we’ll be granting benefits to players who wear more equipment matching the aspect of the land they’re digging on. For example, it’ll soon be worth it to wear two or even three pieces of jungle equipment, when digging on Jungle land.
IV. Ape Quest is coming 🙈
One of the most requested feature in Mines of Dalarnia is finally coming! We’ll be sharing all the details soon in a dedicated article, but for now, prepare for your trusty apes to start bagging you some $DAR!
And the best part? The more Apes you have, the more quest contracts you’ll be able to participate in.
V. Multiplayer Minigame: Space Hop 🛸
Lastly, get ready to play with and against your fellow miners, because we’re upping our game and making it even more thrilling and challenging with multiplayer game modes!
When successful with the Testnet version, the very first one is coming your way, and it’s called Space Hop. This brand new 2–5 player multiplayer minigame is accessible from the Satellite and will have you jumping from vanishing platforms, trying to stay above the void.
And who knows, we might implement a reward system for this competitive game-feature in a future update. So gather your friends, gear up, and get ready to hop your way to victory in Space Hop!
We are also happy to let you know that we’ll be unlocking P2E-allocated tokens to reward you for participating in our competitions.
We can’t wait for you to try out all the new features that come with the upcoming update.
